The government hopes to develop a competent maritime workforce that is vital to the nation’s future by funding the education of young people living along the coast.
Reorganize Corporate Social Responsibility
So, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs will reorganize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donations from entities under its control in order to fund the MEEF. The goal of this CSR budget reallocation is to provide a centralized, long-term financing source for long-term learning opportunities.
A special oversight committee will be established to guarantee openness. Fair scholarship distribution and robust monitoring and assessment systems. There shall be no prejudice of any kind in the scholarship selection or distribution procedure.
The MEEF will first focus on students from coastal areas. But it intends to grow nationwide so that more students may take advantage of the program. The federal government has taken a big step in aiding historically underserved communities. And also, advancing educational equity with this scholarship program.
